How is a Double-Eye Trailer Leaf Spring Length Measured
Question:
How do I determine the lenght of the leaf springs. From eye bolt to eye bolt?

Helpful Expert Reply:
When measuring double-eye leaf springs you will need to have the weight off of the springs by either taking the springs off or you could jack up one side of the trailer. Then you would measure from the center of one eye straight across to the center of the other eye. Depending on how old and worn the springs are you may not see an exact match in terms of dimensions out of the new spring options.
Spring # e84SR for example measures 20-3/8 inches from eye center to eye center. I have included a link to a help article on double-eye spring suspension.
