What is the Difference Between the Strait Line Weight Distribution System RP66084 and RP66074
Question:
WHAT IS THE DIFFRERENCE BETWEEN THE RP66084AND RP66074 LOOKING TO PURCHASE CORRECT SET UP HAVE A 30 FT TRAVEL TRAILER WITH 7800 LB. GVWR AND 710 LB HEAD RATING

Expert Reply:
The difference between the two is that the # RP66084 includes the shank needed to mount the head of the system which will then insert into the hitch opening and the part # RP66074 does not include the shank.
The reason we offer a version without the shank is that some people require either a larger drop than the standard shank like the part # C17124 or have a larger 2-1/2 inch hitch opening like the part # C17131 is designed for.
