Should Draw Tite Trailer Hitch for 2012 Kia Soul Touch Exhaust

Question:

I got the hitch on my car and it look low and I Measure from street to the bottom of hitch and its 6 1/2 inches instead of 9 1/2 inches that said in the video. Is the muffler suppose to touch the hitch frame? Please let me know, thanks, Maureen

I looked up your order notes and it looks like you have the Draw Tite hitch part # 24839 that you installed on a Kia Soul. On such a low sitting vehicle there really isn't a way to have excellent ground clearance with a hitch installed. The measurement in our video is also from the top of the hitch opening to the ground and not the bottom like you mentioned.

There really isn't any other way you could have had the hitch installed so it should be fine as-is, but the exhaust should not be touching the hitch. You probably are experiencing rattle because of it.

I attached a help article that address how to take care of hitch rattle. Basically you will need to manipulate the exhaust hangers or isolators so that they don't touch.
