Troubleshooting No Power on Brake Controller After Install on a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500  

Question:

When I hook up my primus iq brake controller to my 2016 Silverado 1500 4x4 I get nothing no power. Do I need a fuse somewhere???

Some of the 1500 model Silverados still have a few connections under the hood that need to be connected to power the brake controller.

Check out the picture I attached that shows which wires need to go where under your hood. The ring terminal on the right side of the picture is the one you are looking for.

Also check the # 1 fuse to see if that is bad.
