What Ball Mount Is Needed For The VW Factory Hitch On A 2010 VW Tiguan
Question:
I purchased a Curt C45018 for my 2010 VW Tiguan with a VW factory hitch and the distance from the weld to the hole is too short by about a 1/2. Is there a different one that will work?

I do have another flat ball mount for the 1-1/4 inch hitch on a 2010 VW Tiguan. It is the Draw-Tite Class II Ball Mount, # 36051. I went to the warehouse and measured the distance from the weld to the center of the hitch pin hole and it measured 2-3/4 inches.
You will want to measure the ball mount you have and see if this ball mount will work on your VW factory hitch.
If the Draw-Tite ball mount will not work, then the VW factory ball mount might be the only ball mount to fit the VW factory hitch.
