Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for a 2001 Dodge Ram

Question:

I need a brake controler for my old dodge ram 2001 1500 4x4. Which one fit on my truck. i dont want to spend a lot of $$$ because its a old truck. I tow a 3500lbs RV 10 times a year. Thanks

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This isn't the most expensive or cheapest controller we offer but for the money you really can't beat it. I guarantee you will love it.

To install it would only require the install harness part # 3020-P which was designed specifically for your truck.
