Trunk Mount Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Question:

I see 2 options for my vehicle one the Thule 2-bike TH910XT, although the model year referenced is 2014 vs. my 2015 and the Hollywood over-the-top for vehicles w/ spoilers HRF2. Which do you recommend and why?

There are many trunk mount bike rack options that will fit your 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. I have included a link to them for you.

Between the Thule Passage # TH910XT and the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top # HRF2 I recommend the Over-the-Top. This is because the XV Crosstrek has that trim/spoiler piece at the top of the rear hatch that isn't meant to support weight. Using the Over-the-Top rack # HRF2 will solve that problem my moving the top straps up so no weight is put on that spoiler piece. I have included a link to a video review of this bike rack for you.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
