Recommended Anti-Rattle Device for Bike Rack on 2009 Mercedes Benz GL with 2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
Hi, I am trying to determine which product on your site would be best to use to stop the trailer hitch bike rack that I have from wobbling. I already have a hitch pin lock that works. There appears to be a few options, but my 2inch hitch has chain brackets an inch behind the opening, which also has a lip around it. I was looking at the Brophy Stabilizer Bracket RHSB, but I don't think it will work because of the chain brackets on the hitch. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have some options for you, but the Brophy Stabilizer Bracket # RHSB that you referenced required 1 inch of clearance from the face of the hitch receiver to mount. With the chain brackets you have, I agree that this bracket will not fit well on your hitch.
The anti-wobble device I recommend for you is the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2 Inch Trailer Hitches # RM-061. The quiet hitch has a simple and effective design that will hold your bike rack stable inside the hitch receiver. Since the only portion of the Quiet Hitch that goes around the hitch receiver is the U-bolt, this anti-rattle device will work well on your hitch with the chain brackets.
I have attached a review video of the Quiet Hitch for you.
