Installation Instructions for the Agility Electric Brake Controller on a 2010 Chevy Silverado Crew

Question:

Wanting to know if this controller will work with a 2010 chevy silverado crew cab 4wd. Truck has the prewire under the steering column. Only been able to find on the internet where it was compatible up to 2006 model. I have a friend that has this controller in his 2006 chevy and likes it. Thinking about getting same controller from you.

Brake controllers are not vehicle specific, so you can use the Hopkins Agility Electric Brake Controller, # HM47294, or any other brake controller, with your 2010 Chevy Silverado. You will just need to hardwire the brake controller wiring to the truck wiring.

The wire colors could be, but not always, Red/Black, connects to the black wire on the brake controller. White, connects to white on the brake controller. Light Blue/White, connects to red on the brake controller. Dark blue, connects to the blue wire on the brake controller. If you also see and orange wire, it is not needed.

If your truck does not have a factory 7-Way at the rear of the vehicle, you will also need Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, # PK11916. I have included a video showing installation of this wiring harness below.
