Installation Of Draw-Tite Trailer hitch On 2016 Ford Escape
Question:
Just a quick question. I recently purchased the Draw-Tite hitch for my 2016 Escape, and wound up having a mechanic install it. Unfortunately the paperwork went lost, and there was an instruction as to positioning the receiver. I cant remember if it was up or down. Going to pick up the trailer soon....maybe its intuitive when I see it, but Id rather ask beforehand if theres any confusion. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch that is designed to fit your 2016 Escape is part # 75758.
The installation instructions state that the hitch will be placed between the frame rails and the mounting bracket holes on the trailer hitch will line up with existing holes in the frame. The instructions do state that the holes in the frame may need to be enlarged a bit to allow room for the hardware. I have attached a link to an install video for the hitch on a 2016 Escape you can check out, and the installation instructions are also attached.
