Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Trailer with 450 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

My van has a 2inch receiver. Purchased used trailer: 3,750 dry, 450 lb tongue. Includes EAZ-Lift sway bar and Draw-Tite 550DT00 equalizer bars. No shank or ball mount. 1. Are these part s adequate for the trailer? 2. Do you have the appropriate ball mount and shank for same?

Sounds like you have the spring bars to an older Draw Tite weight distribution system. By the time you piece together the parts you would need it's going to be more cost effective to buy a new kit especially since you will be getting new spring bars too.

The part # RP66540 would be a great option that comes with a shank and a system with trunnion bars that are rated for 200-600 lbs which would work well for you.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
