Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2010 Dodge Ram
Question:
I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie Diesel short bed and Im looking at purchasing a Puma 373 QSI 5th wheel. Im told I need a slider hitch and it will be something Ill likely have to do myself prior to purchase since all hitch dealers are 150 miles or more away. What are my options. Id like a bolt on kit with no frame drilling and easy to drill bed. Ideally Ill need to remove this to use the truck bed at least once a month.

We have just what you will need. For your 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 with a short bed you will need a slider hitch to allow you to make tight turns while towing your fifth wheel. The hitch and rail kit recommendation I would make is the B and W Companion Slider part # BWRVK3400 and the Rail Kit part # BWGNRK1313.
The hitch can be broken down pretty easily so that it can be easily removed, but what is really nice is that the when the hitch is totally removed you will have a totally empty truck bed. Most fifth wheel rail kits will leave two pretty large rails in the bed of the truck but not with this setup. Plus most people refer to the Companion hitches as the nicest ones around so I know you will like it.
