Is Trailer Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Visible When Installed On 2016 GMC Canyon

Question:

i have a 2016 gmc canyon crew cab 6ft bed. i like this hitch better than the curt C13176. If the hitch in the picture is the draw-tite 76004 it looks very hidden. will it be hidden on my canyon? I know that the body styles are almost exactly alike. can you answer this question for me.

I have attached a photo of the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 76004 installed on a Canyon. Although it is not perfect, you can see that the receiver end is right under the rear bumper. Since the receiver sits below the horizontal bar on the hitch, it will be tucked up behind the bumper and much less visible than the Curt hitches.

This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.

If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

If you do not have a trailer connector and you have the towing package I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118384.

If you do not have the trailer towing package on your Canyon I recommend part # 46255.
