Possible Weight Distribution System for a 2006 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have a 2006 Silverado and we tow a 3200 lb stock car. I am unsure of the weight of the trailer but with just the trailer hooked to the truck, it sags quite a bit. Any advice on what to do with little information?

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Without knowing more about your trailer's loaded weight it's pretty hard to pick out a weight distribution system. Most likely the Reese Strait-Line part # RP66084 would be your best option. This system has a pretty wide tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs which SHOULD work well for you and features the only sway control on the market designed to fight sway before it starts. You really do need to verify your loaded tongue weight though.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
