Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

I am looking at buying a 2016 Dodge Ram Rebel with a 5 foot 7 inch box I am going to be towing a fifth wheel travel trailer . Will the PullRite Superglide work with this truck. It is a 4x4 with air ride as it is also a off road truck.

There is a fifth wheel rail that just got released as a fit for all models of the 2016 Ram 1500. It is the part # RP50142-58. I have a solution for you, but the Pullrite Superglide isn't going to work for you though as your truck bed is too short for a standard slider hitch to give enough clearance.

The solution I have for you that is very similar though. The Demco Hijacker part # DM8550040 is an auto-slide hitch like the SuperGlide except it provides 22-1/2 inches of sliding clearance. Most slider hitches provide around half that which is not enough for tight turns with a 5-1/2 foot bed.
