Ground Clearance with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installed on a 2016 Ford Mustang Convertible
Question:
What is the ground clearance from the lower part of the hitch receiver? I worry that it will drag as I turn in my driveway. I plan on purchasing the Hollywood platform bike rack.

Expert Reply:
With Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24928 installed on your 2016 Ford Mustang Convertible the distance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver will be approximately 7 inches. Not a whole lot of space.
You didn't mention which Hollywood Racks platform rack you were interested in but I recommend either the Sport Rider SE, # HLY84FR, or the Trail Rider, # HR200Z, both of which have a good amount of rise in the shank to help with ground clearance at the bike rack.
