Why Would Brake Controller Prevent Truck Stop Lights From Working
Question:
I have a 1996 chevy silverado c/k 2500 and my break lights dont work because my electric break how do i wire my truck breaks back without my electric break system.

What do you mean electric break system? Do you mean a trailer brake controller? If so it sounds like you wired the stoplight switch straight to the brake controller instead of just tapping into the circuit. Tapping into it allows the circuit to still work like it is supposed to and then also allow the brake controller to know when to start applying trailer braking power.
