Releasing a 5th Wheel Trailer from Reese 16K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch

How do I disengage this trailer which is a 5th wheel from my truck

On Reese 5th wheel hitch # RP30051 you would pull the handle away from the hitch to open the slide-bar jaw. If it seems like it is stuck then there is likely some tension between the trailer king pin and the hitch. You may need to move the truck slightly forward or backward to relieve the tension to open the jaw.

Make sure the trailer is supported by its landing gear jacks before pulling the truck away from the trailer.

If you need to slide the hitch then you would turn the slider handle, not the hitch head handle, to the desired mode (locked towing, unlocked, locked maneuvering).
