Stake Pocket Tie Down Recommendation for a 2010 Ford F-150

Hello, I bought and ordered the Brophy tie downs for my 2010 Ford F 150. We tried installing them yesterday. They wont work. Looking at the instructions they specify having a 2 inch gap on the top lip of the truck bed. My truck has a 1 inch gap. I am returning them and plan on purchasing the pocket stake tie downs. I purchased an older camper which measures 8 feet in bed and has very small back overhang. Weight of camper 1750 lbs. Are there any considerations I need to know about before I order the Brophy pocket tie downs??? It was discouraging to get the tie downs and find out about the 2 inch gap needed. Thank you for any help you can give.

The Brophy Camper Tie Downs, part # TDSF can be used on campers that have a total length of up to 8 feet in length. As long as the fenders on your truck are straight and not flared these would fit and work well for you.

You would also need the hardware kit part # TDHP if you do not have it already.
