Rail Placement for 5th Wheel Install Kit RP50054-58 for a 2015 Ram 2500

Question:

I am in a jam. I have to install my bed rails without my hitch. I had to change trucks and my hitch is 300 mies away. Are the space measurements available for this kit on my 2015 Ram 2500?

I can help you out with this installation. For 5th wheel install kit # RP50054-58 measure from the rear edge of the truck bed forward 28-3/16 inches for a long bed or 26-1/4 inches for a short bed. This is where the back edge of the rear rail will be.

Once the rear rail is in place the front rail will be 22 inches forward of the rear rail. This is measured from the center of the rear rail to the center of the front rail. But I would leave things a little loose until you have the hitch so you can make any small adjustments.
