Adding a 4- and 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2003 Dodge Van
Question:
I have attached a pic of the plug at the back of my van and was wanting to know if the 2003 Dodge Van Multi-Plug T-One Connector Assembly for 7-Way and 4 Pole Trailer Connector would be the correct attachment or not? Thank you for any help,

Expert Reply:
The multi-plug connector # 20135 does have the mating rectangular connector that will plug into the one on your 2003 Dodge Van. This connector is meant as a replacement. If your van did not come with a factory installed 7-Way, then it is possible that only the light functions will be active.
If the van did not come with a factory trailer connector and the pins on that rectangular connector are not active (which you can test with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993) then to add a 4- and 7-Way connector you will start by installing the 4-Way, # 18252, and then installing installation kit # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way.
