How to Permanently Mount Curt 4-Pole Harness Connector C55361 on Hitch on 2001 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I need trailer wiring for a 01 Nissan Pathfinder but dont want the kind that just stow away in cargo area. I want one that can be permanently mounted on either the hitch head or at the bumper. Do you carry such a product?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The 4-pole wiring on Curt T-Connector Harness # C55361 is long enough to reach a hitch-mounted bracket like # 18144. But there is a benefit to keeping the wiring protected inside your Pathfinder except for the times when you actually need it for your trailer.
The worst enemy of trailer wiring is corrosion, which can be caused by exposure to moisture, salt and other contaminants. Keeping that 4-pole safe inside the vehicle when not in use can help prolong its working lifespan and spare you unwelcome lighting issues when you get ready to tow. Dielectric grease # 11755 will also help to protect the conductive surfaces from corrosion.
