There are several Curt and several Draw-Tite hitches available for a 2009 Ford E-250, depending on which model E-250 you have. Is your van a Superwagon? How much weight are you needing to pull?

This information will help narrow down the hitches that will fit your van and we can look at the differences between those specific hitches.

Since you may go over 6,000 pounds, I would select one of the 10,000 pound hitches instead. Since your van is not a Superwagon Cargo Van, that leaves you with 2 options. Draw-Tite hitch, part # 41906, and Curt hitch, part # 14055. Both of the hitches will attach in the same manner, but they are built slightly differently. First, the 41906 is built using a straight tube for the cross member. Because there are not bends or contours, it is the heaviest of the 2 and the Curt 14055 uses an angle cut cross tube to trim down some size. They both have the same towing capacities. The Curt uses a higher gloss finish than the Draw-Tites. The 41906 will not fit Superwagon Cargo Van models. The Curt will fit all models. I have added links to the hitches below as well as their instruction files. Make sure you torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions.
