The 160 lbs capacity this unit is rated for is that total ramp weight or one end weighing 80 lbs?

The weight capacity of the Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring # CB250D96SHD that you referenced is the capacity of the spring as a whole. It wouldn't be listed as total ramp weight since the length of the ramp and hinge used would end up making that number hard to pin down. This assembly is rated for up to 250 lbs capacity.
