Hopkins Brake Controller Wired and Installed but no Power on a 2009 GMC Sierra

Question:

in my 2009 gmc serra the wires under the dash dont seam to have any power, i hooked the controler up but nothing seems to work, is something else need to be hooked up

There are some wires in the engine bay that need to be connected to complete the system. They provide power to the unit. There are a couple of wires, one is usually red and tucked on the side of the power distribution box, the other is usually black and can be found under the brake master cylinder.

They need to be connected to the power posts on the power distribution box. I have added a link to an FAQ article we have that walks through the process, with photos.
