Silverado Tailgate Clearance When Using Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 Weight Distribution System
Question:
Hello, I was trying to determine from the pictures of this hitch installed with the trailer connected on your website if it is possible to fully open the tailgate of the pickup truck. Are you able to help answer this question? Thank you.

When you install a weight distribution/sway control (WD/SC) hitch like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 the height of the head assembly and hitch ball will determine whether you have enough clearance to open your Silverado's tailgate when the trailer is hitched. Since you have a Silverado I would say chances are very good that you will not have any problem opening the tailgate unless your trailer sits unusually tall or your truck has been lowered.
The Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 works with tongue weights up to 800-lbs and requires only a hitch ball like 2-inch # EQ91-00-6080. You want to ensure your trailer frame is level when it is hitched to your Silverado.
