There could be a short or blown tow package fuses on your 2015 Toyota Tacoma causing the 7-Way to 4-Way adapter # 37335 not to light up. To determine if that is the problem you can use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the connector on the truck without the adapter plugged in.
If the pins all have power when they should (head lights on, turn signals engaged, brake pedal pressed) the plug in the adapter and test the pins on the 4-Way side. If there is no power on the 4-Way side when you test with the adapter plugged in then the issue is inside the adapter. Likewise, if there is power on the 4-Way side and it doesn't light up then it is a problem inside the adapter.
If the truck's connector does not have power on the pins when it should then there is a problem on the truck side. Most likely it is a blown tow package fuse or fuses. It could also be a dirty or corroded trailer connector on the truck. Make sure the truck's connector is clean and free of corrosion inside where the wires attach and outside on the pins.
