Replacement Hub with Bearings LM67048 25580 and 2-1/4 inch Grease Seal

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased a home made trailer with a cracked hub. I am having trouble locating a replacement which will match the spindle. It seems to be a 6000# range Dexter mobile home idler axle. This particular hub has no brake provision drum on the casting, however I do have clearance to accept a hub/drum 12x2. The bearings which make this hub seemingly exotic are: Outer: LM67048 found to be the A6 set Inner: 25580 Seal: 442109 not certain, however the seal ID is 2.25 It seems all the Dexter demountable hubs around use a 15123 Outer bearing or a smaller grease seal. Would a Dexter 008-174-05 fit my needs?

Actually we have a fit as a replacement for the hub you have based on the bearing and seal dimension you listed. It looks like you have a number 42 spindle which is very common.

For a hub without a drum the part # 8-213-5UC1 would fit but you would need to swap out the seal with the part # GS-2250DL.

Is there any way you can tell me what inner/outer bearings your existing hubs use? Or are you able to locate a number stamped inside the current seal itself?
