Recommended Roof Rack And Cargo Tray For 2010 Toyota 4Runner With Side Rails
Question:
Can you help me with options for a roof cargo rack for my 2010 4runner? I want to carry camping gear on top. Two bulky items I need to put up there are two REI camp beds, which when folded measure: 31inch long, 32inch wide, and 10inch thick. I do not have any crossbars yet on my 4runner.

The roof rack I recommend for your 2010 4Runner is the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack. This system has aerodynamic aluminum crossbars that are some of the quietest on the market. This roof rack also includes the foot pack that attaches to your raised side rails. For this roof rack you would need part # TH711400 or # TH711420 for crossbars with part # TH710401 for the Evo raised rail feet.
I recommend a roof mounted cargo basket like part # Y07070 to carry your cargo. The usable dimensions of this basket measure 44 inches long x 39 inches wide, so the folded dimensions of your beds will work great.
To hold your cargo in place when loaded on the tray I recommend using cargo cinch straps like part # IN717. These straps measure 15/16-inches x 13-ft and come with 2 in the package.
