Is Adapter Bar Recommended for Kids Bikes on the Pro Series Duette Trunk Mount Bike Rack
Question:
I have a 2015 Dodge Durango and Im interested in the Pro-Series 63139 Duette Trunk Mount Bike Carrier for my childrens bikes, but wondering if I need an adapter bar? Their bikes are 20 inch bikes - one boy and one girl bike. If so, what adapter bar do you recommend?

Many kids bikes nowadays have more elliptical frames that do necessitate an adapter bar (which is the way my son's bike is) or if the bikes are small enough they won't fit around the bike rack arms. In both cases an adapter bar is recommended especially on women's bike frames so that they will fit more level on the bike rack.
For an adapter bar I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
