Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Good Morning! I would like to add a 7-pin receptacle to my 2012 Jeep Wrangler, which doesnt have any trailer wiring at this time. I recall from viewing your site in the past, that I need to first install the flat 4 pin and then a separate kit with the installation of the 7-pin, but I do not see that option on your site anymore. Would you please guide me in the right direction. Thank you in Advance,

You are correct that you would need to start with a 4-way on your 2012 Jeep Wrangler to eventually install a 7-way. For that you would need the # 118416.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
