Raising the Height of a 5th Wheel Trailer with 2-3/8 Inch Diameter Axles for More Ground Clearance

Question:

I have a 2015 pacific coach works econ rbs14 . It scrapes on the front frame and WD hitch. There are large gully s in my drive and I often go off road. the rig is fairly level, tow rig 08 f150 4x4. the two kits you have are 2/38 and 3 inch axles. I measured mine its 2.5inch tube OD, single axle, leaf setup. will any fit?

You likely have 2-3/8 inch diameter axles. 2-3/8 and 2-1/2 are separated by just 1/8 of an inch so if measuring with a tape measure or ruler it could easily look like 2-1/2 inches. If you are measuring with calipers though that is a different story but I've never heard of a 2-1/2 inch diameter axle.

If you do think raising the trailer in the back is the way to go then you may be able to use an over/under conversion kit if:

The trailer leaf spring stack is currently mounted under the axles
The trailer uses double-eye springs

For a 2-3/8 inch round axle use # K71-384-00.

If you cannot use an over/under conversion kit then the only other way to raise the height of the trailer is to have the old suspension hangers cut off and new, taller ones welded on by a qualified professional welder. I have included a link to the hanger main page for you.
