Difference Between Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Ball Mount AMSC2 and AMSC2HD

Question:

Is there a difference in the cushion portion of the hitch between the standard and HD model? I see there is extra metal strap welded to the bottom of the tongueinch portion on the HD model and the hole size is larger, but wanted to know if anything else is different. I plan on using when pulling grain wagons on the farm and my pin size is 1.

According to my Convert-a-ball representative, the # AMSC2 and # AMSC2HD both use the same cushion, so there won't be any difference in the cushioning ability of either ball mount.

Since you have a trailer ball with a 1 inch diameter shank, I'd recommend using the # AMSC2 assuming that your grain wagon weighs less than 10,000 lbs when its loaded. The # AMSC2HD has a 1-1/4 inch diameter ball hole and a 14,000 lb capacity.
