2014 Prius V Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation

Question:

Will the Saris Bones 2 Bike trunk rack fit a Prius V? I was very surprised the Saris website was non-commital about fitting.

I have a trunk mounted bike rack solution I can recommend for you, but the Saris Bones part # SA805BL has not been confirmed as a fit for your 2014 Toyota Prius V so I cannot recommend it for you.

I recommend the Yakima Fullback trunk rack part # Y02633 because we recently asked our install and demo team to pick their favorite trunk rack based on performance and ease of install/use and they all picked this trunk rack. You will really like this rack. The four easily adjustable straps will make it easier to install than the other racks that use 6 straps and the adjustable arms of the rack allow you to load your bike level on this rack regardless of the shape of your vehicle.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
