How Far Down Does Curt Trailer Hitch C15323 Hang from Frame on a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500

Question:

I have a aftermarket rear bumper and need to know what is the measurement of the of the hitch or the measurement from the mounting flanges to the top of the crossbar? Thanks.

First I should mention that Curt trailer hitch # C15323 will only fit your 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 if it is an LD (light duty) model. It will not fit a 2500HD (heavy duty) model.

But on the hitch it measures approximately 6-1/2 inches from the rear most attachment point (on the vehicle) to the top of the cross tube and 9 inches to the bottom (the cross tube is approximately 2-1/2 inches square). Take a look at the picture I added with these measurements.
