The Class III hitch for your 1970 Chevrolet C/K Stepside truck would be the Draw-Tite Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 75034. When used with a weight distribution system this hitch as an 8,000 lb total trailer weight and 800 lb tongue weight capacity.

If you needed trailer wiring you would also want the part # 18252.

I have a 38 tor that weighs 6700 lbs with 670 lbs tongue weight. Do you think it could handle it.

As long as you are using a weight distribution system the Draw-Tite Hitch # 75034 can handle your 6,700 pound trailer without a problem. With a WD system like # EQ37100ET, its capacities are 8,000 pounds towing and 800 pounds of tongue weight. Without a WD system though the hitch has a 5,000 pound towing limit, so weight distribution is a necessity. Also just be sure to check the capacities of the truck itself by looking through your owner's manual.
