Availability of a 7-Way to Hardwire to a 2014 Ford F-53 Chassis

Question:

I have a 2015 Thor ACE 27.1 motorhome. I was able to find the four wire connector for my Hopkins InSight Brake controller With an adapter it was a breeze to install. I am now trying to find a T type plug in 7 wire connection and a connector The chassis is a 16000 lb, F53. Thank you

On the Ford F-53 chassis there is a 6 pin connector that has the trailer wiring circuits. I attached a picture that shows what it looks like.

Unfortunately, unless you can locate the OEM 7-way that would have the 6 pin plug on the other end, you'll need to do some splicing.

If the connector you found is active, to splice in a 7-way I'd recommend the Hopkins # HM40975-11998. The pigtail included with the connector uses a different wire color code that usual, see the bottom of the product description page for a description of the color coding.
