Installing a Brake Controller on 1998 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Is there a wire plug adapter for the 39523 controller for a 1998 GMC 1500? Thanks

To install the Tekonsha PowerTrac Electronic Brake Controller # 39523 on your 1998 GMC C/K Series Pickup, you will want to use a universal wiring pigtail, # 20127. There is not a custom fit wiring harness available to install the # 39523 on the 1998 C/K Pickup.

To provide a 7-way connector at the rear of your vehicle, as well as the wiring needed to install the electric brake controller, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controllers # ETBC7. The installation instructions as well as an installation video of this kit on a 1996 C/K Series is attached.

The ETBC7 kit uses a 4-way connector for the installation of the 4- and 7-Way socket. If you need a 4-Way flat connector for your vehicle, I recommend part # 118315.
