Does the Pilot Brake Controller have to be Mounted in Any Certain Position
Question:
I have a pilot trailer brake system that was in a previous truck. I am now going to install it in a 2007 tundra. I have it all hooked up but I need to know how to correctly mount the box itself. Does it need to be level?

Expert Reply:
The Pilot brake controller # 80550 is a time delay controller so it does not have to be mounted level or in a certain position. The only stipulation is that it needs to be within easy reach of the driver. I have included a link to the installation details for this controller for you.
To plug this controller directly into your 2007 Toyota Tundra (if the truck came with a factory 7-Way) use harness # 3040-P. And if you need a new mounting bracket for the controller it is # 5280.
