Options for Preventing Bulb Out Sensor on Vehicle When Towing Trailer with LED Lights
Question:
i want to change my trailer lights to all LED. Is there a LED converter that can be put on the trailer side wiring and not on the vehicle side so any vehicle would not have the issues of lower amperage the lights cause. I have a 1997 F-350. My truck runs a 7-way with brake controller and the converter looks to be for a 4-way. I do not want to have to install the converter on any vehicle that would possibly pull my trailers. Thanks

The only vehicles where LED trailer lights becomes an issue are German vehicles. Your 1997 Ford F-350 would not have any problems at all.
For those vehicles we have the part # C35FR which plugs into a 7-way and provides a 4-way for the trailer or part # C57003 which has a 7-way for the trailer and for the tow vehicle.
Your other option is to install load resistors like part # DI34ZR on the turn signal/stop circuits and on the running light circuit.
