Replacement Dexter Brake Assembly Recommendation for a 9k Dexter Axle
Question:
I am looking for a brake drum assembly for my Miller trailer. I believe it has 8+ ton axles. Dexter axle serial number 108004683 Model 00912. I believe the Dexter part number is 008-232-05. Is your part code number 8-298-8924 compatible? If so, what is the stud length they have screw in studs. Mine is a dually trailer. From the flush point of the drum, the studs have to measure 2inch inches long for the dual wheels. Thanks,

So I was able to pull up some information on your Dexter Axle and based on the 008-232-05 number you listed it looks like you have a 9k rated axle. So for Dexter 9k brake assemblies you would want the part # 23-451 for the right side and part # 23-450 for the left side. These assemblies are 12-1/4 inch by 3-3/8 inch and are self adjusting. These also use a 6 lug bolt pattern to attach to the spindle of the trailer.
Check out the review video I attached as well.
