Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with Naked Roof

Question:

I have a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport that doesnt have the factory roof rails. Is there a way to get the factory rails to replace what I have so i dont need the clamps on the door openings? If I have to use the clamps, will it cause extra road noise?

The factory side rails on vehicles usually can't be installed on models that did not originally come with them but that would be a question best handled by a Hyundai dealer who will then probably steer you towards an aftermarket roof rack.

So we can cut out the middle man and go right to an aftermarket roof rack. The addition of the clamps on a roof rack does not add any extra wind noise compare to models that don't have a clamp style roof rack. In fact, it is entirely possible, even likely, that the flush side rails that could have been on your 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport would create more noise than the clamps.

Roof rack Aero crossbars that are integrated into the feet instead of overhanging the feet are going to be the quietest and will also look the most like a factory roof rack. For this style I recommend the Rhino-Rack roof rack # RRRS549 because it is an excellent, quality roof rack at a good price. I have linked a video showing the features of the bars.
