Selecting New Flexible Brake Line After Coupler Hinge Kit Install on Trailer

Question:

I had to cut 2 feet off my tongue in order to get it in the garage using the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge. My problem now is how to hook up the surge brake line. Previously this line was run all the way on the inside of the frame coming out under the hitch and then running back to the surge brake outlet at the rear of the hitch. I ordered the 25inch flexible brake line but to run it the same way as before its way too short. Can you post a photo/diagram of how you connect the brake line keeping it inside the frame?

You will need to shorten the existing brake line by coiling it inside the stationary part of the tongue (always coil from the top down not bottom up or sideways) or by cutting the line, reinstalling the fitting in the correct direction on the line and double flaring the end of the cut brake line.

Make sure that you do not install a flexible line that is too short, which would be damaged when the coupler is opened. Also keep in mind if you install a flexible line that is too long, it could wind up being pinched and damaged when opening the coupler.

Once you know the length of the line you need check out the link I attached that has all of the lines we carry. You can use the filters on the page to narrow the results.

We don't have a picture or diagram of what you asked for unfortunately.
