Hitch Class Clarification for the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75232 for a 2014 Ram 1500

Why are they referring to this hitch and another as Class III when the video and specs show its capacities as 1,000/10,000? Another with same capacities shown properly as Class IV. Typically hitches with the capacity of the Draw Tite part # 75232 that you referenced are considered Class IV and not III. The good news is that what really matters is just the actual capacity of the hitch and not necessarily the classification.

Based on capacity the hitch looks like a Class IV, but then based on appearance it looks more like a Class III.

With all that being said, if the capacities of this hitch are adequate for what you intend to use the hitch for I would not let it's classification stop you from buying it. It will work well on your 2014 Ram 1500.
