Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I just bought a 2015 nissian pathfinder. How can I tell if it has a factory tow package. There is no hitch but it does have the grey and black wire plugs behind the passenger side of the bumper. I an going to put a hitch and wires on this vehicle but I want to know what the right harness is to plug into the vehicle. I would prefer to not buy the wrong harness. Is there something I can look at I order to verify wether it is factory equipped? Thanks.

The most reliable way to determine if you have the tow package is to contact the dealer you bought the vehicle from with the VIN and they will be able to tell you. If you still have the window sticker for the vehicle it should also be listed there.
The good news is that for trailer wiring it really doesn't matter for your 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. The Tow Ready wiring harness part # 118670 that you referenced will fit your vehicle either way...with or without the tow package.
For a hitch you would then want the Draw Tite # 76031 which has been confirmed as a fit.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
