Hitch #24773 is shown and referred to as fitting the 2007 Mazda 5. Is this the same hitch for the 2009 Mazda 5?

Yes, the Draw-Tite Class I Trailer Hitch, # 24773, will fit the 2006 to 2010 Mazda 5 vehicles, so it will fit both the 2007 and the 2009 models.

The ballmount, pin and clip are included with this hitch. You will need a hitch ball like the Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19258.

The wiring harness for your 2009 Mazda 5 would be the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 119176KIT.
