Will 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of Truck 7-Way Charge Camper Battery
Question:
the seven pronged plug in the bed was not charging the camper battery. I checked the harness where it was spliced into and found the factory red wire which is hot all the time is not hooked up to the black wire that goes to the plug in 1 oclock position . If I wire these together to make the prong in the 1 oclock hot will it charge the camper battery while driving?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Connecting the hot wire of your truck to the 7-way in the bed of your truck will allow the battery in your camper to have a maintenance charge put on it.
If the battery is totally drained it will not recharge it, but it will put a maintenance charge on it while connected.
