The Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 1187-1A, is a complete base plate kit and the draw bars are not interchangeable amongst base plate kits.
If you need a tow bar for towing a 2008-2010 Scion xB, with the # 1187-1A base plate kit, I would recommend the RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - 6,000 lbs, item # RM-520. This is our most popular tow bar and is easy to connect and disconnect from the towed vehicle.
You will also need wiring, a power cord and safety cables to complete your towing setup. The RoadMaster Towing Kit with Coiled Wiring, item # RM-9243-1, is a convenient setup that includes most everything you need to get started towing your Scion xB.
You will also need a towed vehicle braking system. The Roadmaster Even Brake Braking System, # RM-9400, is an excelent choice that is easy to install and setup, once initial setup is completed.
Be sure to check with the vehicle manufacturer on conditions for towing with your vehicle. Some vehicles require a transmission lube pump, axle disconnect or other additions to safely be towed 4-Flat.
