Difficulty Installing SportRack Roof Rack on a 2013 Honda Civic Sedan

Question:

I asked a question not so long ago about a slipping out Sr1010 on a civic sedan 2013. I tried the SR1002 ans it does the same thing. I really dont know what im doing wrong. I followed the fitting guide but when the rack is tied down I just put a little pressure on the legs and they slip off the doors. Is it because the width of the legs dont match with the curve of the door frame? I dont know if you have hints or video to help me here. Thank in advance have a nice day!

The problem you are describing happens sometimes with SEMI-custom roof racks. They are designed to fit many vehicles and so the fit is not that great on some of those vehicles. The best you can do is have someone help you install the roof rack and slowly tighten up the rack on your side while they equally tighten up the rack on their side. Since the last time we spoke I had the SportRack options removed from the fit guide for this vehicle because we suddenly had several complaints about the fit.

If you continue to have issues I strongly advise a true custom fit rack so you won't have this problem anymore. For a 2013 Honda Civic Sedan I recommend Rhino-Rack roof rack:

Crossbars # RRVA126B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
Custom clamp kit # DK319
