Brake Controller and 7-Way Recommendation for a 2011 Honda Pilot
Question:
I am interested in purchasing a wiring harness for my 2011 Honda Pilot ex. I was looking at either item# 56097 or #C56086. I may purchase a brake controller at a later date for a 1-2 axel trailer and would like to know which ones would require the least amount of installation. It seems like all of the brake controllers require item #ETBC7. Wouldnt the other two wiring harnesses work or would I have to purchase ETBC7? Thanks!

Since the plan is to eventually install a brake controller you will want the Tekonsha harness part # 118253 for a 7-way for your 2011 Honda Pilot. This comes with everything to make the 7-way functional and will allow for the eventual install a brake controller easily.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
For an install harness you would want to use the part # 3070-P.
